Personality: Sayu is very much a free spirit, and is constantly changing her hair, fashion style, and adding body modifications as she gets bored with her previous look. Despite her constantly changing state, she's always very kind and loyal to her close friends. She has a tendency to give horrible first impressions of herself, however. She has many 'issues' and prefers to party her problems away. She varies between being harmfully self-destructive with her partying, and a positive influence to herself and those around her depending on her mood.

Positive Traits/Strengths:

• Sayu is very experienced at making mixed drinks of all kinds: alcoholic, non-alcoholic, coffee of all types, juices, etc.
  
• She can usually get along with just about anyone that isn't an asshole, though it might take a long while for her to open up about herself.
  
• She is great at drawing, and has a very steady hand with beautiful calligraphy.

• Has some major trust issues. She won't trust anyone easily and is always slightly paranoid that people are plotting against her or lying to her face.

Combat Abilities:

• Basic Self-Defense: Sayu has a slightly above average familiarity with street-fighting of the sort that one would learn whilst in a prison, which allows her to somewhat adeptly fight/defend against attackers, using speed rather than strength to her advantage. But any quarrel can only be allowed 4-5 posts of maximum effort on her part; see Smoker's Lung weakness below.
  
• Reflex: Due to possible PTSD symptoms, a quick advance on her (whether intentionally violent or just a casual physical touch) could quickly and unconsciously be retaliated with violence. For example, a spank on the butt might cause her to reflexively jab with her elbow.
  

Combat weaknesses:

• Smoker's Lung: Sayu can easily be tired out physically. If she is forced to do any rigorous activity for longer than 4-5 posts (sports or sparring, for example) she will become exhausted and activities that continue past this limit have a high risk of cause a debilitating asthma attack, once per day.
  
• Daddy Issues: Sayu has an overwhelming affinity towards controlling or authoritative figures, though she tries - and usually fails - to hide this. Whilst being scolded by an officer, for example, she is more likely to wet her panties due to a raging lady boner than a loose bladder. Due to a psychological distortion of authority, there is a slight risk of causing a panic attack (by rolling a 20-sided die), once per day.
  

Character Backstory: Sayu had a normal, innocent, privileged, and somewhat spoiled upbringing in Tokyo as an only child to two successful parents - that hated each other and stayed married only for the sake of their daughter. When Sayu turned 18 her parents immediately divorced, which led to a decline in her academic studies and overall attitude towards life in general. She, like many children of divorced parents, blamed herself for their separation and slowly drove herself mad with guilt for her own existence. To escape from her hometown that reminded her too much of her old life, she applied and was accepted to a college away from Tokyo to continue her education. As a freshman she met a senior student with whom she had an abusive relationship for about a year, thinking she deserved such treatment and even teaching herself to enjoy the beatings, chalking up the threats to them just being protective or saying "that's just how they show they care".

Now a fallen angel of sorts, Sayu's developing depression led her to fill what she now felt as a void with drugs and daddy issues. She skipped a lot of classes for "migraines" that were usually just bad hangovers or come-downs. During one particular incident with her now-ex, Sayu finally somehow gained enough courage to stand up for herself and call off the relationship. Less than a month later, an 'anonymous' tip was given to the Police that Sayu had paraphernalia in her possession on campus - which she did, as she was still relying heavily on her illegal substances to find the will to live. Charged with multiple accounts of possession and intent to sell on a school campus, she was lucky to only be sentenced to around a year or so in prison.

Her prisonmates taught Sayu how to defend herself against street-type quarrels, so she is slightly skilled in basic kung fu-styled defensive techniques and usually uses the element of surprise to her advantage, assuming that her opponent isn't expecting her to successfully fight back. However, she isn't very powerful against magical attacks or anything that requires some form of super-human ability to counter. Her history with drugs and abuse, unfortunately, has left her with a permanently weakened state of physical and mental health, and she tends to frequently seek medical attention for asthmatic and panic attacks.

Other than self-defense, prison taught Sayu to open her eyes (not just her third eye with LSD *cough*) to her own self-destructive tendencies, and gave her the inspiration to really want to turn things around for herself. But, as they say, old habits die hard... and it seems Sayu learns all of her lessons the hard way.

Sayu found her way to Hajime City simply looking for yet another change of pace, and she hopes to finally find that place where she belongs out in the 'real world'.
