Born January 15, 1425 in Craiova Romania, Costel lived a life of hardship and pain. Born to a family of Romani folk, he was the subject of violence and outright prejudice for much of his childhood. This instilled in little Costel that he and his people were not equals to everyone else, and where worth very little. This was cemented when his small village was burned to the ground in retaliation or a alleged theft by one of the children. 60 people where now homeless and displaced in a world that did not want them, and cared little for their lives. He grew up bitter and resentful towards non Roma, calling them Gadjo (outsider, stranger. Meaning "you're unwelcome here") and keeping a safe distance from the major cities lest he be stopped and beaten. In 1450 the European Witch Trials began, and his town of Craiova was caught in the middle. This was made worse by the fact that Costel was starting to develop his own abilities, putting his family in direct danger just by existing. Within a matter of weeks Craiova was burned to the ground, most of the residents being stuck inside. He remembered hearing the pleading shrieks of his people as they begged for mercy and pardon, only to be struck down by the inquisitors. This instilled more hatred and rage within him, cementing what would be a centuries old grudge against normal humans, causing him to become estranged from humanity. In his anger, he managed to discover his affinity for blood magic and curses, developing a way to use blood magic as a form mitigation against would be hunters and common idiot folk. He stayed in Europe despite all of this and advocated towards the better treatment of the Romani people, working with many human rights organizations to afford this. However as magical beings started appearing, and magic seemed to reestablish itself in the world, the Witch Hunts started to be reinstated, causing Costel to flee to Hajime in an effort to save himself.
 


Personality: He is very aloof and cold, strict in his manners and very vicious towards those he regards with mistrust. He isn't one to take anything at face value and is always expecting to get stabbed in the back.
He has grown up knowing that he is not considered equals with anyone, stray mutts being treated better than him and his people, and regards everyone with contempt and mild hatred until they have proven themselves to be worthy of respect and tolerance. He cares deeply for the magicals, and desires to see them flourish in spite of human interference.

Due to centuries of fighting, and war, he has become battle hardened, making him resistant to physical attacks. -1 Tier to physical attacks.

Hex of the Enfeebled: Causes the victim to become physically weak for two turns/minutes(rounds), taking an extra tier of damage to physical attacks.

Curse of the Feeble Mind: Victim is cursed with a withered intelligence equal to that of a mild mental impairment for 5 turns/minutes(rounds) and takes a penalty to all intelligence based interactions for the duration of the hex.

Hex of the Lame: Hex causes a chosen limb to lose proper function for 2 turns/minutes(rounds), making it difficult to use that limb with dexterity.

Hex of The Blind: Blinds a victim for 2 turns/minutes(rounds).

Cruelty of the Moon: Causes moonlight to constantly shine on a target, making it hard for them to hide for 5 turns/minutes(rounds)




Racial Weakness:
Strain: Due to not being fully human, nor fully of anything else, these beings face a hard time adapting to their own form. In combat situations which last too long they take extra damage in battles which last too long. [+1 Moderate per 4 rounds of combat]

Combat Weaknesses:
High Body Heat: Unlike hollywood lore, Strigoi bodies run incredibly hot, around 120 degrees or so, making them prone to overheating. This is why many of them wear clothing that shows off their bodies, it’s not just a lure for prey, it dissipates body heat.

Sun: It doesn’t outright kill him, it does however cause a moderate per turn as long as he is exposed.

Iron: Causes mild irritation when touched.(+1 tier damage)

Cold-Iron: Causes severe burns when touched. (+2 tier damage)

Black Book: Contains all of his everything and can be used to hurt him if stolen (if care is not taken, the book will actually attack the thief)

Holy items: Repulsed: Must stay 20 feet away from artifact or face taking burning damage (one moderate). When the artifact is touched to his skin it causes severe burns (one moderate).

Water: Cannot cross running water over a foot deep. Rain slows his metabolic rate by 30%, decreasing his movement speed and lowering his body temperature 20 degrees.

Animal form: While his spirit is out of his body, his body is vulnerable and weak.

Bloodlust: In cases where he does not feed often enough, he becomes twice as irritable as normal, and very openly flirtatious to draw others to him.

Silver: Silver hurts him much like a gunshot would, purifying his body and causing intense pain. (+1 tier damage)

Silver Nitrate: Will kill him if it gets into his bloodstream, turning him to ash.

Garlic: Used in most protection and barrier spells, so it has a repulsion effect on him.

If not killed properly (Cut into 6 pieces, each piece burned to complete ash, put in a box with a holy token and buried underwater in separate places) he will revive within a week as a Strigoi Via-True Vampire. (At which point i’ll need to update his sheet AGAIN QvQ)

Specialized Hunting gear: Vampires were hunted (and still are oddly enough) In Romania. Many people made a living off of hunting down and killing these creatures, carrying with them specialized tools to get the job done.

Strigoi: Human tainted by magic, cursed to eventually become a vampire.

Subset: Strigoi Viu: The living dead. A human with vampiric traits, when killed the Strigoi Viu will rise from their grave as true vampires.

Strigoi Via: True vampires, the undead. These are Strigoi Viu that have died and reanimated, becoming true immortals.
