It was a beautiful morning on a calm December 19th, 1387, exactly six hundred and twenty nine years ago today. The story begins in a fairly small Yokai Village in 'Over Yander', called Nagetumn. It was a fairly small and peaceful village that was held together with ancient rituals and tribal ceremonies. The Yokai that lived within the village were made up of two different types. The main population were weary travelers seeking sanctuary, as well actual tribe members. All that should come seeking the village are indeed required to uphold the rules set in placed as well as be involved with any ceremonies the tribe hosts. The other hald of the population are Yokai created by the tribe, whoms sole purpose revolves around protecting all those within the village. The Yokai that are created are given their first name by the head Shaman, while their 'last name', or, rank, is chosen by the tribe leader. There are five different types of ranks for those types of Yokai. Saketni; which is the rank of peace keeper, they are expected to patrol the village and make sure all is well, and help those in need, this is the most common rank, having no limit. Tsuryu; this is the rank of the hunters, they go out and make sure the town is well supplied with food and other necessities, this rank does not have a limit, and is given out as seen fit. Koujan; this rank consists of those who guard the village and the surrounding forest. This could mean keeping the nature around the village kept up and healthy, as well as warding off any evil or threatening being. This rank may have up to fifteen at a time, or as seen fit. Yuutameko; this rank means they are the Shaman's helpers, they help to grow herbs as well as aid in creating potions and medicine, keeping the town well stocked, this rank only allows up to five at a time. Kanemoto; these are the lantern bearing spirits, they mainly keep to the forest and are hidden away from all until they are needed. They help guide lost or seeking Yokai to the village, as well as help those in need, this rank has a limit of two as a time.

These created Yokai are actually made solely by the Shaman, upon the request of the Tribe Leader. The ritual behind creating these beings is a hidden ceremony that is only shared by the Shaman, which includes the creation of life from a single 'seed'. These seeds per say, are specialized gems that are hand grown on the outskirts of the village by the Shaman and their helpers. Once a gem is ready to be used, they are taken from their resting place and used in a ceremony that makes the gem, into a being. The outcome of the species is completely random, and could be of anything, and their eyes resemble the gem that was used. Upon creation, they are given a first name, and taken to the Tribe Leader, for assessment and their job title. Once they are named and properly placed in a job, their training then begins. Each Yokai is is not under the Yuutameko Rank are trained by the Tribe Leader, while the Yuutamkeo are trained under the Shaman, From start to finish, creation to the end of training, the process can take up to two years to have a fully trained and capable Yokai, though this can very depending on their type of situation. It is possible to be in training fo more than four years. It just all depends on the availability and the urgency of needing trained Yokai.

This story, however, is the story of a young Yokai named, Thable. It was quite a tragic situation that surrounded his creation. Normally, these Yokai are simply created and given their rank upon assessment. However, Koune Kanemoto, a very dear and trustworthy Lantern Spirit had recently passed on, which called for another to step in and take his place. It was on a calm December morning that the young Yokai was born on. The gem that was used for Thable's creation was an unusually bright green with tins of yellows that glimmered lightly during the night under the moons light, however, little did they know just how unusual this gem would turn out to be. Once the gem was formed into a being, there standing before the Shaman was a fairly tall man, standing at about 6'9" with long locks of a peachy cream colour. He bore two fairly long, white furred dear like ears, a fairly long, furred tail with a long patch of fluff at the tip, the base of the tail and the fluff at the tip were the same peachy colour as his hair, while the middle of the tail stood a pure white, same as the ears. He also bore two, beautifully coloured Chinese Dragon like horns of blues and whites. His skin was a bit odd however. It was fairly pale, which was natural for a newly created creature, however, half of his head was shaded in a black, with a pure white cross marking upon his forehead. These strange markings on the Dragon made the Shaman a tad wary, quite unsure of what this could possibly mean. However, despite the strange appearance, the aura surrounding the Yokai showed no signs of corruption or evil. So, the Shaman gave the creature a fairly unique name. Thable Ren. It wasn't often that a created Yokai was given a set name of two, however, the Shaman had plans for the young Dragon Yokai before him that he was going to see through, no matter how wary he was. Upon getting the newly created clothed and ready, Thable Ren was then taken to see the Leader.

Thable was a fairly quick learner, and with his job being nothing more than simply being his already joyful, kind, and helpful self, his training was quick and efficient, releasing him within less than a year. While his rank called for him to be mainly in the forest to help guide those in need, Thable was quite well known within the village. More often than not, he'd be seen wandering the village during the day, always one to happily introduce himself to new tasks and helping out the villagers, and then happily went to do his job during the night. He was quite used to going without sleep, he was always very busy and liked to assign himself with tedious tasks just to keep himself busy. His favorite task however were those that the Shaman gave to him on the days he was in the village. Planting, and tending, to Herbs and other plants. Thable had quite a green thumb, and after seven years of proving himself, the Shaman's plan finally took action and he began to show the Dragon Yokai basic magic that revolved around caring for the flora. As was expected by a Dragon, Thable picked up the teachings quite easily, and fairly quickly learned how to heal the herbs and other important plants that were needed. Upon learning this, Thable took it upon himself to constantly be on top of keeping all the grown flora healthy and alive.

The young Dragon spent quite a good amount of years at the village. He loved his home, and was quite protective over it and what he saw as his family. However, the peace and happiness wasn't to last. Now at the age of five hundred and eighty nine years, Thable has seen death, destruction, and corruption, but nothing could have ever prepared him for what was in store for his home. It was a day to remember, when an unusual stag was found wandering alone by a few Hunters. The stag's fur looked as though it were soaked in oil, it's eyes gave away no life, and it's movements were more of a swaying unbalanced motion. The hunters to stumble upon the sickened creature decided it would be best to bring it to the Leaders attention. Killing off the creature fairly quickly, they let it remain where it was and went to grab the Leader. By the time it was shown to the Leader however, the deadly corrupted virus that took hold of the deer had already begun to spread, the flora surrounding the body had died, and it was only spreading more quickly. The body was disposed of, however, the deadly virus still lingered, and was slowly tearing apart all that surrounded the village, even already taking the lives of a few villagers. The virus was a mystery to the Shaman, and even he was having a problem with finding a way to delude it or heal it, things at this point, looked bleak and hopeless, panic was stricken through the whole village as even the Leader began to give up. Wanting to do anything and everything he could to find a cure, Thable isolated himself to the forest, and worked tirelessly for weeks, trying to find a cure, messing with different herbal medicines, trying to find a way to cure it. What ever he had been using, wasn't keeping the virus fully under control, however, it was slowing the process of corrupting his body, and finally, after a month and a half of fiddling with different concoctions, he finally found exactly what he was looking for, but at a cost. With the usage of forbidden, cursed herbs, he was able to find a temporary fix, which forced the virus into one spot and gave it a form, which crystallized a small area of skin on his chest into a deep blue gem.

Quickly racing back to the village to show off his discovery, he returned to destruction. While he was away, the virus had killed off and destroyed all he knew and loved. He searched the town desperately, trying to find some sort of sign of life, but all he ended up doing was wading through puddles of an oil like substance that once were bodies of his loved ones. With a pained and heavy heart of grief and feeling as though this were partially his fault, he decided this was no longer a safe place to remain. Leaving all of it behind, he turned his back on all he knew, and went in search for a new place to call home. He spent years simply wandering 'Over Yander', his heart and mind never truly healing from the devastation. Deciding he wasn't going to find such a home within 'Over Yander', he decided to finally wander into the place he most feared, the Human Realm. It didn't really take him long to find a town by the name of Hajime City. The city really intrigued him due to the fact that there was a Yokai Village connected to a shrine not to far into the forest besides the city. Wanting to learn more of this place, he tried to get himself out there, and soon found himself happily living within the village of Nigiyaka. Mainly keeping to himself, he is also trying to find a place where he fits in best, where he can offer his services.

Staying within the forest surrounding Hajime city for a few days, he had kept watch on who came around, where they went, and he happened to notice an open portal to the Yokai Realm. Pushing forwards, he decided to attempt to go through the portal, which proved to be successful. Upon entering Nigiyaka, he found himself feeling more at home within the village, and found himself a place to live, as well as plenty of opportunities to plant his Herbs and enjoy life. It has been forty years since he had first arrived to Hajime City, and during this time, he has simply spent his time alone, growing and tending to flora, though, it wasn't exactly to last. Thable's curiosity got to him one particular afternoon and he had decided to go visit the temple within the village. This is where he happened to meet up with a young Human named Cameron, who just so happened to be the head of The Kinship of Harmony. This just so happened to intrigue him, and while having a talk with the Human, he was granted permission to grow Herbs and other flora around the Terrace. Happy to do so, Thable took that opportunity and ran with it, which also granted him more time to get to know those of the Kinship while also helping them out by growing herbs necessary for potion making. After a couple of weeks, Thable expressed his interest in the Terrace and the Kinship. Being granted a trial period, he worked hard day in and day out. And though he's slowly but surely climbing in ranks, he works hard daily in his training and daily duties to be useful to the place he calls home and to the people he calls his friends.



Thable is a very humble and caring creature who loves to make others happy and will go out of his way for the sake of others. He is a very passive person, who much prefers to avoid confrontation at all cost. While it seems fairly impossible to get him upset, he can get fairly touchy with certain situations. He can be fairly possessive over others he really cares about, and should anyone harm those people, or mess with them in any way, he can become very agitated and protective. He doesn't allow just anyone in his heart to the point where he'd be possessive other them, but if he does allow someone in, they've a very protective and trustworthy guardian for life. While it seems he does well in social situations, and can be quite the good talker around others, he can easily become stressed out around a lot of people, and much prefers to be left alone or simply around one or two people. He is also quite an empath, feeling others emotions on a deep level, as well as being able to feel them for himself, which makes him the perfect person to talk to if someone has problems. Not being one to judge or discriminate, he's always open to offering an ear to any who needs him.

Thable is also a very happy and optimistic creature, trying to always be in a good and happy mood for those around him, even if he's having a hard time. While Thable is fairly efficient in what he does, he can also be very unorganized and untidy, having a constant problem of losing or misplacing things. He can also be fairly tentative when it comes to important decisions, always considering things in too much detail and always second guessing himself and his decisions. Thable also has a really bad habit of being overly generous, or way to lenient with people. Being very passive, he doesn't like confrontation, and is constantly handing out second chances or giving in to others wishes fairly easily, even if it comes with a cost. Though, like everything in this world, he does indeed have a breaking point, and though this side of him has yet to be seen, it wouldn't be a pretty sight to piss him off. If he does get past that point, he isn't above holding a grudge for quite some time, more often than not simply casting those who hurt him aside without hesitation. While he is a very trusting and forgiving person, should you push him past the point, you've absolutely no hope of regaining his trust or sympathy.

Facts and Quirks:

-Thable can transform into a human form, but only by the usage of a special Transformation Ofuda. Only very rarely will you ever see him in his human form, only doing so should he need to go to the City for something.
-While in human form, should the Ofuda be removed from him, he will instantly be transformed back into his Yōkai form.
-Thable blames himself for what happened to his old village, and has never fully gotten over what happened. Should he see Oil or any type of black liquid, he will become immobilized in fear.
-While the virus within him is contained and somewhat kept under control, it is very slowly growing, veins of corruption erupting from the gem that are slowly creeping over his chest, which indicates it's not as under control as he says it is.
-If the gem on his chest is removed, Thable dies. if the gem is cracked, Thable's body will quickly be overtaken by the sickness, with little to no hope of survival, with a possibility of also releasing the virus airborne.
-During the spring, Thable's horns will be covered in Cherry Blossoms, oddly growing out of any cracks. These blossoms will last until summer, which they will wither and fall off on their own.
-Thable is not affected by time or aging. By the time he hit thirty, he stopped 'aging', and the affects of time are no longer applied. While he can be killed by other means, aging is not one of them.
-Upon death, his body will immediately be turned into a Peridot gem, which the Shaman of his village called 'Equinox'. Should someone have knowledge of the past ritual that was used during his creation, it would be entirely possible to bring him back. However, he will have no knowledge of his past existence.

-A small collection of precious gems he found on his travels. Keeps them in his bedroom displayed on the wall beside his bed.

Non-Combat Abilities:

Floral Regeneration
Thable has the ability to heal withered and dying plants. This does not mean he can bring a plant back to life, there must still be signs of life within the plant, but he can restore broken limbs, bitten leaves, and rotten berries. He is now also able to heal diseased trees as well as repair missing or broken bark and missing limbs.

Magical Knowledge
While Thable has not done much practice with any magical abilities, he has a true knack for it, and it is fairly easy for him to learn new types of magic. Though he can not learn anything that has to do with ice.

Enhanced Abilities
During the creation of Thable, his gem was tampered with and was infused with two special types of seeds. Because of this, they have given him extra strength when it comes to the following:
Agile:
Thable does have a knack when it comes to jumping. His jumping skills surpass the normality, while also having the ability to manipulate the air under him to make it more dense for a split second in order to use it as a platform to offer what looks like a double jump.
Illness Tolerance:
Thable's system has a resilience to most illnesses and diseases. While this does not mean he can never get sick in slightest, he does have the ability to handle it better than most. Which explains why he's been able to deal with the virus for as long as he has been.

Cellular Activation:
Thable has the ability to activate cells within anothers body, which then increases the speed and function of cells. This increases the physical attributes such as accelerating the healing process.
Can currently heal either, six minors, three minors and a moderate, or two moderates per day.

Combat Abilities:  

Dragon's Flare
Thable has the ability to completely engulf his hands with a blue flame. While he can not shoot the fire in spit balls, he can manipulate the flames and shoot them out in a clean streak towards his target, almost like a whip. Unless the person is covered in oil, the flames will not catch any part of his target on fire, it will simply burn the area it touches before extinguishing.
Power: Moderate Damage
Range: Can not stretched Farther than ten feet, after hitting the limit, the flames will be retracted and must wait for them to be retracted before they are able to be shot again.
The 'whip' can only last as long as it takes to either hit the target or reach the ten foot limit, however, the flames around his hands can last as long as he has it summoned.
These flames are very weak to water and ice, and will be extinguished upon touching these elements, this includes the whip and the flames around his hands.

Celestial Shield
With the usage of a scroll, Thable can conjure up a shield of what looks to be made of stars. It only has the ability to shield in the direction it was placed, meaning it can not move, and leaves his back open for attacks.
Time Limit: Forty Seconds
Durability: Can take four minor hits, or one moderate before dissipating.
Weaknesses: Should an Ice element hit it, the shield will fade and the attack will still hit Thable.




Racial Weakness:

Holy Purification:
As a Yōkai, no matter how good, Thable still has absolutely no resistant to holy or purifying magical abilities. If hit with such an attack, his skin where was hit will basically act as though it were on fire.
Damage: +1 Moderate


Combat Weaknesses:

Blinded By Memories
Should Thable see or come in contact with Oil, or any type of black liquid, he will instantly be paralyzed, unable to move or focus on the battle for two full rounds. If his vision is pried away from it before the rounds are up, he will be able to regain himself quicker.

Corrupted Gem
The Gem on Thable's chest is one of his largest weaknesses. Should it be removed from him, he shall die instantly. Should it be cracked, it will instantly overthrow his body, giving him little to no hope of survival.

Frozen Water
Thable's body has absolutely no tolerance to ice or coldness what so ever. If hit with ice or any type of cold element, his body will instantly slow and he will become very sluggish and weak. Ice will also burn his skin much as fire would to another being.
Damage: +1 tier

Flames a bright
Though Thable does have the ability to summon fire, this does not mean he's resilient to it. Due to also being part plant, any part of him that is hit by a fire spell will utterly destroy the skin that is affected. Thable's body also takes twice as long to heal from any type of fire spells.
Damage: +1 Major
