| Krow ________________________________________________________________________________________________ OOC Info SL Username: Krowbatellio SL Display Name: Cameron Fade ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Character Info Character Name: Hoshi “Krow” Moya Age: 22 Birthday: December 23rd Gender: Male Height: 6’8” ( 203 cm ) Weight: 236 lbs ( 107 kg ) Race: Human Species: Human - Japanese Origin: Korinotoshi, Hokkaido, Japan Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Occupation: Hajime City Handyman Mercenary Affiliation: HC Head Handyman, Hajime City Kazoku-Kai Gashira ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Character Story - Spoiler:
Krow does not have many memories of his childhood, the ones he does have aren’t very pleasant. Krow was born in Korinotoshi Village, located on a small island just north of the Hokkaido region of Japan. Krow’s first memory is a powerful fire, a fire that killed his parents at the young age of 5, leaving him and his younger brother to essentially fend for themselves.
Krow and his brother did anything to survive the cold winters of Korinotoshi, learning to hunt, to fish. They weren’t completely alone in their ventures, a nameless old man having somewhat taken watch over the boys. While not taking them in, he gave them the bare minimum to survive when things were too bad, the boys often waking up to a new warm blanket, mysterious sacks of rice appearing in their household, even going so far as to bring them medicine in the night when Krow came down with a terrible sickness one winter.
After 10 long years, the old man finally revealed himself fully to them, offering to take them into his home, offering to train them how to protect themselves. The boys accepted rather willingly, asking the old man his name, to which the old man simply replied ‘Sensei’.
It turned out the Old Man was once the leader of Ishikawa ninja clan, but was forced to retire due to his old age, despite the large wealth of knowledge he had. He took the boys in as his proteges, teaching them over the next 6 years everything he knew, and they did learn. Finally he told them that they must go out into the world on their own now, the young men having learned everything they could from him.
“You will leave this place with one last gift, or one last curse.” He said to his proteges. He then attacked the boys, prayer beads in hand. He finally landed a blow, a burning sensation searing Krow’s stomach. The boy passed out from the sensation as a spirit was forced into him, before attacking Krow’s brother, and after a brief struggle, doing the same. When they awoke, their Sensei was gone, never having seen or heard of him since. They had been forcibly possessed by two powerful spirits, Krow, possessed by the spirit of Suijin, while his brother was possessed by the spirit Seiryu.
The two brothers soon after went their separate ways, Krow becoming a mercenary for hire, boasting the ability to complete any job, no matter what it be. He grew rather infamous, his name passing around through soft whispers and rumours. The man was a myth, someone who always got the job done, a man with an insatiable lust for money, who will complete any job given to him.

________________________________________________________________________________________________ Personality For Krow, everything has a price, what matters most is if you’re willing to pay for it. Krow is not open at all, usually taking a long time to develop a bond with someone, unless they share something in common he deeply cares for, due to this, he can be seen as rude or outright disrespectful due to his rather blunt, straight-forward nature. He also loves fighting, and is very competitive naturally, but also very confident in his abilities. Though he hasn’t been pushed to his limits, it’s understandable that his prideful nature could be a vulnerability if he were to be unable to win. He hates defeat in any way, and due to this almost irrational sense of pride he constantly tries to one-up himself, training to be strong, to be better in as many ways as possible. Krow is a man who trusts very few, and is loyal to even less. You have to earn his loyalty, it does not come naturally, just because of one’s position in the world or the money you may have paid for his services. He works very hard if paid though, his main focus is completing his job, almost to a fault. Simply put, if you want to get a job done, and you have the funds, he’s the man you want. Positive Traits: Honest Tenacious Confident Resourceful Natural Born Leader Romantic Pragmatic Survivor Negative Traits: Blunt Stubborn Amoral Distrusting Impatient Womanizer Workhorse Apathetic Likes: Fighting Women Alcohol Competition Money Rain and Thunderstorms Snow Small Animals Fighting Anthropomorphic / Animal-Based characters Dislikes: Hot places Sunlight Boats Crowds Dancing Clubs Humans Hobbies: Fighting Gambling Swimming Hunting Training Working Out Stargazing Reading Facts and Quirks He is left-handed Loves the challenge of eating spicy foods Everything has a price Sleeps a maximum of 6 hours a night Has seemingly permanent dark bags under his eyes due to his sleepless lifestyle Gets seasick very easily Hates the use of guns and will almost always refuse to use them Always prefers to be called “Krow”, and keeps his real name very secret Uses his sword with a single hand, instead of a proper 2 handed stance Is a follower of the Shinto religion Has many slash, stab and burn wounds across his stomach and chest ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Personal Effects Personal Inventory: Personal Cellphone Business Cellphone Wallet Small set of “ Business Cards” Danto, his sword Personal Property: Bingo Book Krow’s Bingo Book is a very unique book, containing inside it information on many publically named mercenaries, spies, criminals, wanted targets, or generally infamously strong or high ranking individuals. Krow’s book was last updated January 1st, 2017. Any updates to individuals status since then are unaccounted for, though Krow does write on the pages, keeping notes based on the information he learns. This book does include information on non-human creatures, though information on these creatures is subject to more scrutiny as they are much more difficult to obtain reliable information on. Specialized Equipment: Item Name: Danto Damage Type: Slashing Damage: 1 Moderate per slash Extra: Danto is Krow magic infused Sword, passed down to him from his Ninjutsu Master after graduating. The Sword has the very unique ability to repair or even regenerate itself, anywhere from small chips and nicks, to being shattered into pieces. The blade’s unique ability is not instant however, ranging from taking roughly 6 hours to repair a chip, to 2 days to fix a crack, to an entire week to regenerate from a large scale break. Due to this regeneration, the sword constantly remains at it’s sharpest and most pristine form. If the sword is used in any other way, other than directly slashing, it at most can deal 1 Minor of damage. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Abilities Racial Abilities: Due to a strong will to survive, Humans gain +1 Minor from being healed. Non-Combat Abilities: Combat Abilities: Martial Arts: Over the course of his life, Krow has been trained in a number of martial arts, all of which are black belts, or black belt equivalent. The martial arts he's proficient in are Ninjutsu, Kendo, and Jujutsu. Shinobi Training: Krow is a trained Shinobi, and as apart of his training, is much more agile than his size would imply. He also has very good reactions in combat, and can be nearly silent if he hasn’t been seen, or cannot be seen. Skill Name: Suijin Affinity: Water Damage Type: Bludgeoning, Piercing Damage: 1 Moderate Max Cast Time: 1 of my posts Extra: Krow has the ability to control the water around him as a Hydrokinetic. He is even able change the pressure or structure of the water to condense it into it’s solid Ice form, or even a gaseous Mist form. Though Krow has to focus when manipulating water, making him unable to control multiple sources of water, or even use multiple abilities at the same time, and also causing him to lose control when stunned. Using any generic Hydrokinesis technique cannot inflict more than 1 Moderate of damage. Any utility effects of any Hydrokinesis abilities, e.g. a stun from slipping on ice, will be communicated the initial turn of the cast and cannot last longer than 1 turn. Skill Name: Omoikane Affinity: Water Cast Time: 1 of my posts + Channeling Duration: 3 of my posts or until dispelled Cooldown: Once per encounter Range: 10 meters + 10 meters per post channeled, maximum 30 meters Extra: Krow begins channeling, slowly focusing his energy on the water in the air, bringing it together, condensing it in a large area around him, creating a thick cloud of mist that reduces visibility inside to 1 meter. Due to Krow’s energy coursing through the mist, he can sense the small movements of the water inside the cloud, giving him pseudo-sight of everything inside. Skill Name: Kirin Affinity: Water / Ice Boiling Damage: 1 Moderate per turn channeling Freezing Damage: 1 Moderate + 3 turn localized stun Duration: Until hand to flesh contact is broken Extra: If Krow manages to get a grasp of his target, he can begin channeling against their body, slowly focusing the water in their body in a small area around the held area. From there may make one of two choices; He can choose to manipulate the water inside them into unnoticeably small, yet very quick vibrations, causing it to begin boil and severely burn the area from the inside out. Alternatively, he may instead choose is to stop the water completely, focusing and quickly causing its temperature to decrease, before freezing inside the limb, causing the muscles to be paralyzed and the limb to be essentially frozen itself. Skill Name: Hachiman Affinity: Water / Ice Damage Type: Bludgeoning, Piercing Whip Damage: 1 Moderate per strike Spear Damage: 1 Heavy if piercing, 1 Moderate if striking Duration: Until dispelled Extra: In combat, if Krow’s right hand is freely usable, he may begin to channel water from nearby sources into the palm of his hand, slowly forming a weapon approximately .75m long. This weapon may be used as a Water Whip, inflicting 1 Moderate of damage each strike, bending rather freely to his will, as long as his target is within the range. Alternatively the water may be solidified into a sharp, solid icicle shaped spear, inflicting 1 Heavy piercing damage with each strike, but being only doing 1 Moderate when bluntly striking the target. Skill Name: Izanagi Affinity: Water Cast Time: 1 of my posts + Channeling Healing: 1 Minor per Channeling post, 1 Moderate max Duration: Until dispelled Extra: Krow being a mercenary has learned quite a few tricks over his years of service. He’s able to pull water into his hands, slowly churning it, manipulating it to begin to heal small wounds. During the channeling of this ability, Krow must remain fully focused, and is unable to dodge attacks, or retaliate while healing. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weaknesses Racial Weakness: Only HumanHumans have physical capabilities that only go so far without modification! Because of this they aren’t likely to hit harder than other humans without some help. Physical punches will not be more than 1 Minor without some sort of ability buff. Combat Weaknesses: Gentleman Krow has his own personal code of honor. Due to this, he regularly chooses to hold back striking women, children, or young appearing characters. Typically he will stick to a more submission based style of fighting with them. He also avoids attacking someone who is defenseless, for example, kicking someone who is down or wounded already. However, Krow is willing to abandon these ideals if he is angry, upset, or if he is paid enough, although, he will request an increase in pay to do so. Firearms Krow almost always refuses to use guns, unless there is literally no choice but to do so. Due to the stubborn mindset he has based in the traditions he was taught, he is completely untrained in how to use or identify guns beyond ‘point this end at the target’. Long Range Combat Because of Krow's inability to use guns, he is almost completely unable to fight targets outside of his melee range. This can be even more bothersome against particularly quick or evasive opponents, who fight with a more hit-and-run based style, constantly ducking in and out of his range for quick attacks. Low-Tech Krow comes from a very traditional japanese background, coming from a village based around fishing and hard work. This village wasn’t very sophisticated when it came to technology. Due to his upbringing he doesn’t have much of an understanding of sophisticated technology. He understands simple, basic things, but things like robots or even robotic augmentations don’t make much sense to him. This means without proper instruction he would be unable to use advanced technology. This can also cause him to attempt to use abilities on tech that he doesn’t understand, such as Kirin, which wouldn’t work at all. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Changelog: 2017/06/06 - Formate Update + Tier 3 Update 2017/03/01 - Large Update 2017/02/10 - Created
