Having grown up in a strict para-military background, Axel is a no nonsense type of mentality, but has a hard time adjusting to being around those who do not share the same mindset. Though friendly towards new people, he often views them through the lenses of their threat level.

  • The nano machines in his body make him resistant to most types of poisons, unfortunately this also prevents him from getting drunk as easily as a typical person. As such he has gotten used to the bitter taste of most drinks. He also drinks his coffee black. (Also Caffeine has little effect to him as well).
  • Despite his tough guy exterior, he can display a softer side when with people close to him.
  • Will glare at you to death, or die trying.

Combat Abilities:

  • Nanomachines, Son: Axel has been injected with a standard field operative regiment of Nanomachines. Their primary function is to heal and regulate his body, allowing for faster recovery times compared to most humans. This includes a stronger immune system, resistance to most poisons and toxins, an accelerated healing factor, and sync up his nervous system to his robotic arm. They also allow for an easy read out of his vitals to his Optic Visor or any compatible medical equipment. When Axel has taken any damage, the Nanomachines will trigger the healing system and will take into affect 2 posts after he has received his injury. A pain blocker is also released locally by the Nanomachines that lasts up to 5 turns. While he can recover from most minor injuries, the system will overload if he has received multiple injuries if quick succession or has taken several moderate injuries, the system will enter into a "Safe Mode" where it focuses on keeping Axel alive long enough until he can get medical attention. Adrenalin can also delude the rate of effectiveness for Nanomachines prior to receiving damage, and can add +1 turn to become active and -1 turn for the pain blockers to wear off.

  • Close Quarter Combat: Axel has been trained extensively in various close quarters martial arts (including Jeet Kune Do, Judo, and various other martial arts) with the intention of bringing down a target with either hand to hand combat or personal weapons. As his mod of operation focused on infiltration, CQC is necessary when catching an opponent off guard or when faced with an opponent at close range (up 10 meters). This method of combat is only meant to subdue a target, and as such targets my suffer only minor damage from direct hits but will find themselves disarmed or incapacitated temporarily.

  • Cybernetic Arm: Due to an incident during an assignment, Axel lost his left arm, leaving him with out an arm cut off just above the elbow. His prosthetic arm is made of high grade carbon and steel alloy and will often use to block damage. It can withstand a high degree of damage before becoming non-operational. Despite the durability of his arm, it does no more damage to a target than his left arm does. A Nervous System Emulation Control mimics the sensation of touch, allowing him to feel sensations including temperature, pressure, and even pain. The system can be turned off (Requiring 1 post) so that he does not feel any anything, but the rest of his body will still react accordingly.

  • Situational Awareness: Axel's training has allowed to be better aware of his surroundings compared to most people, and is very perceptive of his environment. This allows him to anticipate a target's movement or intention, allowing to be better prepared for any situation that might arise. With this ability he can feign in on listening to a conversation or the advance of an opponent attempting to come at him from behind. His insight allows him to operate tactically in his engagements and is able to strategies the best coarse of action.

  • Tech Savy: Axel's previous employment made use of various equipment and technology when a mission required it. He is familiar with most modern computing systems and can hack them after a certain amount of time (1-3 posts to complete a hack depending on the RP). He also has an assortment of gadgets at his disposal for performing jobs.


Combat weaknesses:

  • Only Human: Despite his tech upgrades and proficiency in close quarters combat, he is still very much human, and as such is still susceptible to the same weakness as any other human with the exception of his robotic arm. Things like magic or other psychic abilities will effect him as with any human. His nanomachines will alert him to any abnormalities (Such as change in heart rate.) but may be unable to correct it. And despite his keen awareness, he is unable to detect or anticipate any magical sneak attacks.

  • Technical Difficulties:Axel's robotic arm is not without it's limitations. Regular care and maintenance is required at designated locations. If his arm has sustained enough damage, it becomes inoperable for 2 turns while the back up system reboots. Once rebooted,arm will operate at 1/3 the speed, and only vital systems will be active. If damage continues, arm will be inoperable until repaired. Repairing takes 3-5 posts, depending on the severity, and can only be done at locations with equipment to handle the repairs, with Axel being stationary during the repair process. Even with the touch simulation turned off, he can still feel phantom pain which can be aggravated in cold environments. Additionally, as his arm is mechanical in nature it is prone to anti-tech attacks such as an EMP or being short circuited.

  • Long Rage: Axel's preferred style of combat limits his ability to counter long range attacks from opponents unless first seeking cover. If he has a fire arm equipped, he may return fire when possible but gains no extra combat bonus in doing so. Likewise he cannot anticipate long rang attacks unless he has a visual on his opponent.

Character Backstory:
Subject-███; designated as ‘Axel’, was discovered in the war torn region of █████████ just outside of the city of █████ on 06/20/████ during a a field operation conducted by the Field Team Unit 09. Subject appeared malnourished but healthy. When questioned, subject did not know where his parents where, or if they where alive. Subject does not know his date of birth, but later medical exams puts his age around █ years old at the time of detention. Subject possesses the ability to (REDACTED) when (REDACTED). (NOTE: As of ██/██/████, subject no longer appears to display aforementioned ability due to loss of right arm.) Subject also displays aptitude in combat and tactical proficiency due to association with local warlord ██-████ ████████'s militant group (Alas on file as "Black Tiger") and was promptly placed in a youth training facility before being transferred over to the Spec-Ops Division under the command of (REDACTED).

Assignment to Subject-███: Due to injury sustained on his right arm on ██/██/████ during Operation:#███-████, Subject was reassigned to the Arsenal Gear division located at (REDACTED). Subject was to to monitor any activity in relation to Subject-███ and it's inhabitants, located near a private school on a small island off the coast of Japan. After several incidents, Subject-███'s threat level was lowered from (REDACTED) to (REDACTED) and assigned to Agent █████  ███████ for further off site monitoring. Upon completion of assignment, Subject was reassigned to Site-██-A as part of the Dravo Unit security detail.

Discharge: After the containment breach at Site-██-A and Site-██-B (See Incident Report-A081), Subject was placed on leave following standard protocol. Subject has taken on private contractor work with various criminal and private military organizations. Subject retains training and conditioning, though has gained unauthorized use to (REDACTED) on numerous occasions.
