Unknown: "There is much that makes Cadence who he is today. In fact, there is a lot that plays into account with his parents, growing up, school and friends...but to quantify it all would take a long time. Suffice to say his whole being has been well groomed by proper upbringing and taught a strong work ethic as well as being active within his community. Sports? Yea, he played those. Arts? Those as well. Dating? Of course! So while this might interest some, that would be something more to hear straight from the horse's mouth so to say. What's to follow...that is where Cade's story truly begins in my opinion. But you shouldn't have to take my word for it. This is in his own words what shaped him the most in his life. And it shows just how strong I think he is. How brave, and kind, and hopeful humankind can be."

Cadence: "I entered into college directly after high school graduation, seeking to follow my passion for music. I was mastering in music education. You could say I was pretty studious and active in voice and piano, and my goal was to make a life teaching others how to sing and play the piano. However I never was able to decide if I was going to teach it at a school, or turn it into a job working with a music shop. Things happened, dreams change...My dreams changed during my second year in college. I fell madly in love with a fellow college sophomore also studying music. Mitchell. We connected quickly and within days a relationship blossomed. The time we spent together was like a dream, and sometimes...I still feel like it is a dream. The moment we met I knew that he was the one for me and he told me he felt the same about me. We had some rough patches as most couples do, but we held out together and upon graduation I proposed to him. He said yes, and I was the happiest person in the whole world."

"After the proposal, Mitchell and I started planning our dream wedding with the help of my parents and soon to be in-laws. We were at my parent's when it happened...or rather...Mitch and my mom and dad were home. Where was I? I was picking up the engagement ring. Specially engraved as a surprise for Mitchell to say: [i]True Love, To Whom My Heart Is Prey[i]. It was the first thing I said to him. And after he smiled I said it often, every time I looked into his eyes and was reminded that he was all I ever wanted in life. Anyway...when I returned home there were police there. There was an ambulance. It's still a bit hazy since it all happened so suddenly and I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. They said it was a robbery gone wrong. But a robber wouldn't break into a house, murder three people, then leave without taking a thing. Well...that's not true. He took something from me that no one should ever have taken from them. My mother...father...lover...they were stolen from me. The three dearest people in my life, dead."

"I inherited the house and many assets left by my parents. And the in-laws tried to offer their comfort and solace in my grief, but I was so broken. I politely declined any offers to assist with my pain. I went to a therapist, got my emotions in check, and came to learn that my dreams I once had. The dream Mitch and I had...it was gone and replaced with something new. I gave up on all the school I had done. Once you bury your family and the man who completed you...who could blame you for changing? I thought about what they all would say to me if I could speak to the dead. My parents would have told me to move on and try to find something good to hold on to. To never forget my passion and love. And Mitch...he would have told me that I could still find true love out there somewhere. He believed that we all have multiple chances at true love. I was more skeptical than he was in most regards, but I loved him and I believed in him. So I believe that he is right, that love will find me again one day. I kept the engagement ring. Keep it in a box with my mother and father's wedding rings and some of my favorite memories of them all."

"You might be wondering what my dream changed to, huh? Well I decided to become a cop. I wanted to find something stable, something that could help make the dark moments in life better. If I could save lives and protect others then maybe that would help anchor me. And it worked. I passed the tests with flying colors for the most part...a little hitches here and there, but I made it through. It hasn't been that long but already I have helped so many people. So many smiles and kindness despite the moments of hate and sorrow. But that's the job and that's life. Good and bad together. I made a promise on my family's grave to not let their deaths get me down and change me. And I will not lose hope and faith. Now, you might also be curious about the man who killed my partner and parents. He was found. The FBI were working the case on a serial killer and managed to find the guy and got proof of his actions. I didn't watch the execution. Just knowing he was brought to justice was all I needed, and facing him would have only made me angry and spiteful. That's not who I am."

"So there is this place in Japan called Hajime...am I saying that right? Hajime City. Lots of strange things have apparently happened there and some big corporations have moved in, making the city booming with business and technological advancements. Which big business though comes big crime. My boss said that due to my dedication and hard work I was going to be transferred there to help the HCPD, kind of like a liaison of sorts, or a good will gesture? I don't really know. But moving away from home seemed like a great idea since I didn't really have much left to stick around for. I donated a lot of my parent's affects and managed to sell the home off. Got most of my money exchanged for the local currency and had a banking account set up for me in my new home. I left so much behind, but that's what you have to do to get a new start...to move forward. I'm excited to see what Hajime has in store for me. What such a great city has to offer. I'm eager to dive in head first and be a positive face for change and prosperity in a new community."

Facts and Quirks:
•Due to his allergies, Cade has a vast array of medication, over the counter or doctor prescribed, to help alleviate his sinuses with pollen. He sometimes forgets to take his allergy pills in the morning and will not take them if he doesn’t believe he will be around pollen. (Such as if it’s raining outside…so…expect him to not take it much at all.)
•Cade can make a wide array of meals from scratch and almost always makes his own meals unless eating out at a restaurant. He doesn’t do fast foods and partakes in sweets only once a week.
•Have you ever meet one of those people who was just a sappy romantic? Well now you have! Cade is in love with love. He has watches all the Rom-coms out there and has quite the distorted, if not adorably endearing, view of love and romance. He’s the kind of guy who plays music outside your window, leaves a trail of hypoallergenic rose petals to the candle-lit bedroom. Sappy notes, poetry, blah, blah, blah, *Vomits Hearts and Rainbows*

Non-Combat Abilities:
What Does This Trigger D- *BANG* Nevermind! – Guns are quite a fancy for Cade. He is in love with them, though was upset when he had to leave them all back home when moving into Hajime. His personal preference is for pistols and other small, highly mobile guns. Due to his familiarity, Cade can put together and dismantle handguns, identify the safety (cause that’s really important), discern if a gun has been modified, and has better accuracy when wielding them.

I Think That Goes There…? – While not a doctor, Cade is very well aware of lethal and non-lethal areas on humans. He also has minor medical training to help keep someone stable in the field until a real medic can take over.

Combat Abilities:  
Did You See That!? – Cade has a rather nice set of eyes that have been trained to spot sudden movements around him. He can more easily set his sights on a target and track its movements.

Do You Need Glasses? I Don’t! – One of Cade’s primary skills is tracking animals and other people down. Whether it be physical tracking in the woods or in urban areas.

Take A Moment – Cade has had training in negotiations. When in a combat situation he is sometimes able to talk the situation down with a hostile target. While not always successful, Cade prefers to Take A Moment (see what I did there?) and reason with others. Once per combat per hostile target, Cade can attempt to reason with them and persuade them to become less hostile towards him. This only works if the target is willing to listen and make a deal of some kind and fails immediately on targets that will not/cannot listen to reason.



Racial Weakness:
Only Human: Humans have physical capabilities that only go so far without modification! Because of this they aren’t likely to hit harder than other humans without some help. Physical punches will not be more than 1 minor without some sort of ability buff.

Combat Weaknesses:
I Believe You. – Cade is susceptible to other’s lies and if told a lie in combat he may let his guard down and even disarm himself thinking that the situation is fine and will resolve. This is in direct opposition to his Take A Moment ability and can be used on him by others once per combat per hostile target. (Doesn’t that just suck? Teach this boy some detect deception skills!)

*ACHOO* - If someone has flowers on them, or Cade is in an area with pollen, he starts to sneeze uncontrollably and will be stunned for up to three rounds. The only way to combat this is if he has taken allergy medication at the start of his day or has his face covered to prevent breathing it in.
