Arashimaru comes from a long line of apothecaries and magic wielding warriors. His family became rather wealthy after his great-grandparents started a reputable pharmaceutical company in Japan that would be passed down to each first born child. Due to his family’s status in wealth, and influence the magical world, his family is very cautious about whom their children married. - Arashimaru's Backstory:
Two Sides of a Coin; Tossed into a Well: ‘Impure’ twin children born out of wedlock Arashimaru and his twin sister, Sayuri, were born to fail--at least deemed by their mother’s family. The idea was then solidified by their mother who believed them to be a bad omen because of an unfortunate ‘accident’ while she was pregnant with them. The ‘accident’ caused the death of their father, and mother’s lover. The ‘accident’ was caused by their mother’s family in hopes to kill their mother’s lover. As mentioned before, the family takes very seriously about whom their children marry. Marriage is a business, which allows for political power in the magical world, and also magical power. Fortunately for their family, they matched their mother up with a partner who would help the family gain more standing. This brought forth Arashimaru’s younger brother Takashi. While the Arashimaru and his siblings were cared for by their grandmother in place of their mother, due to the mother’s disdain for the children. Their mother believed to have finished her job, especially in terms of Sayuri and Arashimaru.
Hate is Taught: While Arashimaru, and his siblings attended the same schools, attitudes towards the twins were significantly different towards the true heir, Takashi. They were often teased by other children for their impure/mixed blood. This caused for the twins to become incredibly close, usually fending bullies off for one another. Not only were they bullied at school, but their own family, aside from their grandmother, would make hideous remarks about their impurity. Ara would take note of his mother’s particular increased hatred towards his twin sister, though not quite understanding why. It was around the age of 10 for the twins, that their grandmother would become too ill to care for them...eventually passing away.
Capture: During the age of 12, Arashimaru would notice Sayuri skipping classes and what not to practice her magical abilities, against the family’s desires. Arashimaru too wanted to cultivate his strengths too, so he would go towards the city’s shrine. He would not only practice minor magic spells, but fighting as well. One day while he was at the shrine training, a fog had appeared around the area. A green eery light flashed by the shrine. Ara hid for a moment, not sure what was going on. There was some sort of magical portal that appeared, with a strange figure stepping out looking around the area. Ara thought to escape the area to tell someone, but then was caught by the strange figure. Upon looking closer, they had fox like ears---the being was a Nogitsune of the Deihara Clan.
The Deihara Clan: The Nogitsune that abducted Arashimaru would change his life. The Deihara Clan is a clan of ninja who capture children across realms, due to their originating realm, Yomi, making it very difficult to produce offspring. In Yomi, time moves much differently as years were only days in the human realm. The Deihara Clan was full of Igakure, oni, who import and export precious relics across realms. They were under the guidance Izanami. They were under almost constant attacks from rivaling clans who wanted their relics, and land. Once abducted children came of age, they would be infused with the essence of Izanami. This would in time, turn them into Igakure. The Nogitsune, Michiko, was in charge of taking children into the clan, and training them. This allowed Arashimaru to finally have a parental figure to look up to, a true family. Noticing Arashimaru’s natural talent for white magic, Michiko assigned him to work under the medical unit. This allowed Ara to learn about his own birth abilities, proving very useful to the Deihara Clan as one of their prized healers.
Budding Romance: One of the other children abducted happened to be a beautiful girl with hair like rose petals--Her name was Sakuya. He would train alongside her every single day, both of them becoming very close. They would both eventually fall in love once in the realm Arashimaru was 17, and she was 19. While the Deihara Clan doesn’t have a true marriage ceremony, lovers do share soul pendants with one another. The Soul Pendants are a precious gem stone, enchanted with a small soul essence. The Soul Essence is collected by a priest(ess) of the clan. It takes about a month to produce a Soul Pendant. Arashimaru and Sakuya exchanged Soul Pendants, becoming forever intertwined with one another...
Forceful Return: As Arashimaru hit the age of 20 in the realm of Yomi, there was a huge attack on the Deihara Clan. They were overwhelmed by the sheer amount of soldiers the opposing Clan had. During the battle, Arashimaru and Sakuya were separated by their duties. Sakuya was a royal archer to the clan, and Arashimaru was a lead healer. As the heat of battle rose higher, Sakuya was gravely injured while successfully protecting the leaders of the Clan. Ara tried everything he could to bring her back, but ultimately failed. The only living piece of Sakuya that remained was her Soul Pendant. His Soul Pendant had faded, a piece of him gone forever. Due to the incredible amount of sorrow, the Oni essence inside of him began to infiltrate his soul--starting a slow corruption. This forced Ara back to the human realm.
The Shrine: Forced back to the Human realm, Arashimaru’s body was shifted back to it’s 12 year old self; however, the corruption triggered inside of him left him in a deep coma as his human form had to process the events that happened in the Yomi realm. The person who finally found him was Sayuri, knowing that he practed constantly at the Shrine. Ara had been missing for a week, putting his family at alarm--for political reasons. He stayed in the deep coma for a month, waking up inside of a hospital and immediately crying out for Sakuya. He saw Sayuri instead, looking exhausted and worried. His eyes were not only bloodshot, but crimson red. From then on, he remained incredibly anti-social. Training even more furiously at the Shrine. The only person he could depend on was Sayuri, that is until she went her own way.
Hajime City: Arashimaru since being returned from Yomi, he devoted his life to training and becoming a healer, in this realm a doctor, as instructed by Michiko. He also has been finding a way to return back. Looking for a place with intense magical power, and he finally found that in Hajime City. Perhaps Ara can find his answers here?

Combat Abilities: Arashimaru have enhanced human abilities such as increased strength, vision, hearing, and agility thanks to being full of Oni essence and transformation.Rather resourceful and crafty after being trained as a full fledged ninja, he can make the surrounding into his advantage after surveying the area. He can apply some moderate healing thanks to his apothecary skills and demonic regeneration. Due to his family line he is able to cast several moderate spells and from what he learned in Igakure, he also have the power to summon his allies if the opportunity arises.
Combat weaknesses: He is very sensitive to smoke. When smoke comes into contact with him directly, he would gain a severe headache, cough up blood, his eyes true form would involuntary appear and would be irritated. Will react slowly at first when things do not go as he planned and will take time to survey the battlefield to readjust.

If he can’t tell the person he is going against is femme (because of armor or a disguise) then he will treat them like any other guy in battle.-May be forced to submit the battle with persuasion. -Will protect femmes with pink hair at all costs, even if they are not allies. -Easily manipulated by femmes. Heart Throb: Due to Arashimaru’s compassion for others, particularly those close to him, they are her own weakness.-If any loved ones are held captive, he will withhold attacks for 3 turns. -May be forced to submit the battle if their life is in danger. Soul Pendant: Arashimaru’s most treasured belonging, contains Sakuya’s remaining soul.-Without this Pendant he cannot cast healing or protective spells, any active spells will be useless.

Even though he wasn’t the firstborn or a legitimate child, he wanted to break traditions and prove to his family that he is truly the one to deserve inheriting the family’s business. However there were many obstacles he must venture through and the biggest one was his little step-brother, Takashi. To remove his biggest obstacle… Arashimaru decided he would try to impress his grandfather so much that he would reconsider of his successor. However, if he failed to do so, he plans to eliminate both Takashi and Takashi’s father. In his past as a child, Arashimaru would sneak out of school during recess and into the forest just so he escape from the bullying and fight he gets into. One of his days in the forest he bumped into what would be one of his powerful allies to call upon which was one of the beautiful kitsune that led him to an alternate realm to explore.
The realm Arashimaru accidentally went into was called Yomi. He was frightened at first, but the kitsune reassures him that no harm will come unto him. They venture into Yomi and stop at a tribal village that is full of demons called Igakure. To his surprise he was not being discriminated but rather welcomed. From there he learns about a shop that is devoted to apothecary and beg his kitsune ally to take him there to learn this realm medical field. In his discovery, he learned the reason why there was little to no discrimination against his kind. There was a clan of human looking ninjas the have relations with the village on importing and exporting trades. The villagers informs him that the clan's name was called Deihara and that they have ways to travel in between realms. Being in the Deihara clan would be very beneficial to him as he would able to go home to not worry his family and learn what both realms can offer. Throughout his last parts of childhood and in his teenage years, Arashimaru gained otherworldly knowledge by working in Igakure and studying under Deihara's finest ninjas. The leader of Deihara notice that Arashimaru body's grows weaker each time he sends him on missions that requires to enter a different realm. To remedy his body, Arashimaru went through a ritual where his body goes through a transformation by absorbing oni essence from willing volunteers from the village.
In post ritual Arashimaru taken a very important assignment that was given out by the leader himself. He is ordered to travel to a city named Hajime. The leader decided that he wants Arashimaru to test his abilities and knowledge of both human and non human apothecary. Of course there was another objective in mind; to establish a new connection between Hajime City and the Deihara clan. For now, Arashimaru will work as a physician at Hajime City Hospital while sending details report to his clan on this city and its inhabitants.

Due to the incredible amount of sorrow, the Oni essence inside of him began to infiltrate his soul--starting a slow corruption. This forced Ara back to the human realm.
The Shrine: Forced back to the Human realm, Arashimaru’s body was shifted back to it’s 12 year old self; however, the corruption triggered inside of him left him in a deep coma as his human form had to process the events that happened in the Yomi realm. The person who finally found him was Sayuri, knowing that he practed constantly at the Shrine. Ara had been missing for a week, putting his family at alarm--for political reasons. He stayed in the deep coma for a month, waking up inside of a hospital and immediately crying out for Sakuya. He saw Sayuri instead, looking exhausted and worried. His eyes were not only bloodshot, but crimson red. From then on, he remained incredibly anti-social. Training even more furiously at the Shrine. The only person he could depend on was Sayuri, that is until she went her own way.
Hajime City: Arashimaru since being returned from Yomi, he devoted his life to training and becoming a healer, in this realm a doctor, as instructed by Michiko. He also has been finding a way to return back. Looking for a place with intense magical power, and he finally found that in Hajime City. Perhaps Ara can find his answers here?

Combat Abilities: Arashimaru have enhanced human abilities such as increased strength, vision, hearing, and agility thanks to being full of Oni essence and transformation.Rather resourceful and crafty after being trained as a full fledged ninja, he can make the surrounding into his advantage after surveying the area. He can apply some moderate healing thanks to his apothecary skills and demonic regeneration. Due to his family line he is able to cast several moderate spells and from what he learned in Igakure, he also have the power to summon his allies if the opportunity arises.
Combat weaknesses: He is very sensitive to smoke. When smoke comes into contact with him directly, he would gain a severe headache, cough up blood, his eyes true form would involuntary appear and would be irritated. Will react slowly at first when things do not go as he planned and will take time to survey the battlefield to readjust.
Character stats: Tier 3 Health-pool: 3 Heavies/1 Major
Mana Pool: Arashimaru is a light-magic wielding user. Light magic in this instance is neither holy nor evil magic. He uses mana for magic spells. Once depleted, he will regain 2 mana points per 3 hours. Each magical power used in rp will deplete a certain amount of mana. His base mana can be increased through further study and practice. -His total mana points are 10/10.
Arashimaru’s Inventory:
Apothecary Sodas (2): Healing drinks to boost a healthy recovery on the field of battle. Carbonated Celestial lake water, with special herbs. He carries two around with him, and can give them to others. May cause Minor damage if consumed or splashed onto a dark essence/cursed being. Does not work for dark essence/cursed beings. May work on corrupted humans, depending on their level of corruption. Effect: Heals a Moderate injury per soda, and replenishes half mana.
Shot of Morphine (1): Increases resistance to pain. May cause small beings to pass out. Needs OOC consent to administer to allies. If target has damage higher than 1 Heavy, added damage will feel like moderates until Status Effect is over. Can be used with Shift 2.0 to increase Active Time to 5 turns, but target will black out after. Status Effect: Enables target to move around normally with damage up to 1 Heavy. Active Time: Only lasts for 3 turns.
Ara’s Scalpels (3): Arashimaru carries around a set of 3-point shurikens called Scalpels because of their sharpness. Can be picked up, and reused even by others. Damage: Minor Physical Damage. Reach: Mid-Range Attack, 10 meters. Hit: x3 Casting Time: Instant.
Non-Combative Abilities:
Multichromia Iridis: Due to Arashimaru’s slow corruption, it has given him the ability to change his eye color to anything he wants. Although, his original eye color is red because of the Oni Essence he was infused with.
Healing/Protective Abilities:
Power of Rejuvenation: From the line of his family, Arashimaru has the power to heal himself and allies around him. While damage may be healed, the targets may still remain blacked out from either damage or psychological effects. Arashimaru must take two turns to recover, as this spell is incredibly draining on one’s body. Effect: Heals up to 1 Major Damage. Mana Usage: 6 Reach: 10 meter area. Casting Time: 2 posts. (One post to summon, another post to use.) Cool Down: Can only be used ONCE a week.
Shield of Amaterasu: A shield will summon around him acting as a protective barrier against oncoming attacks. Those behind the shield will also be protected. Light shield will not protect against Dark Magic. Any magic that are Heavy or Major will be reduced by one scale damage. Shield of Amaterasu is NOT effective against Severe or Fatal attacks. Status Effect: Can protect against magical attacks. Reach: Close Range, Less than 5 meters. Mana Usage: None to Summon, but when used: Minimal - .5 Mana Minor - 1 Mana Moderate - 2 Mana Heavy ~ Major - 5 Mana Casting Time: 2 posts, (One post to summon, another post to attack.)
Combat Abilities:
Shiranui’s Spear: Arashimaru summons a celestial spear to attack an opponent. This attack is bright enough to cause enemies to be blinded by this attack for 2 posts, unless they are wearing protective eye gear or cover their face. Can cause himself to be blinded for 2 posts, if he doesn’t shield his eyes. Damage: Moderate Magical Damage, Light based. Status Effect: Enemies are blinded for 2 posts, Can illuminate the surrounding area by 10 meters when summoned. Reach: Long Range Attack, 20 meters. Hit: x1 Mana Usage: 2 Casting Time: 2 Posts. Napalm Strike: Arashimaru summons an aerial attack of Tengu spirits to dive bomb, causing small explosions in a set radius around him. Cannot use if it’s raining in the area. Not effective against water aligned beings. (ex. Merfolk) Can be evaded if opponent is hiding undercover. Will only cause Moderate Magical Damage, if target is wet/damp and not water aligned beings. Damage: Heavy Magical Damage, Fire based. Reach: Area of Effect, 15 meters around him. Hit: x1 Mana Usage: 5 Casting Time: 2 Posts. (One post to summon, another post to attack.)
Combat Weakness:
Smoke: Arashimaru is sensitive to smoke as it will make him slightly dizzy and a pounding headache. -Cannot use any items within the smoke duration. -Cannot use healing or protective spells within the smoke duration, unless the shield is already active.
Chivalry isn’t Dead: Is heavily against engaging in combat against feminine appearing people. If he ends up in combat against a femme, they can easily distract him from attacking. Initially, he will try to quell the conflict through talking or giving in to what the femme wants. (Femmes with pink hair are his ultimate weakness.) If he can’t tell the person he is going against is femme (because of armor or a disguise) then he will treat them like any other guy in battle. -May be forced to submit the battle with persuasion. -Will protect femmes with pink hair at all costs, even if they are not allies. -Easily manipulated by femmes.
Heart Throb: Due to Arashimaru’s compassion for others, particularly those close to him, they are her own weakness. -If any loved ones are held captive, he will withhold attacks for 3 turns. -May be forced to submit the battle if their life is in danger.
Soul Pendant: Arashimaru’s most treasured belonging, contains Sakuya’s remaining soul. -Without this Pendant he cannot cast healing or protective spells, any active spells will be useless.
